Family Keepsakes

Post by chuck j »

Hey you got any family items that were handed down , anything from guns to whatnots ? I have always enjoyed seeing what was passed down , the diversity of items is amazing . This was my grandfathers (dad's side ) toolbox . He made it in around 1918 , Still has many tools in it , his address is on the back and badly mispelled , must be a family trait , I'm just as bad . His name was William Henry .

We have it in the living room , I have come to enjoy things that mean somethig to me rather than things that can be simply bought .

What have you got and tell the story of the items .

My dad's cigar lighter . It sat on the coffee table in the living room my whole childhood , wish I had a dollar for every time I was sent to buy him 3 Little Melba's . They were a dime apiece or 3 for two bits , he would not buy any but three . LOL
