Chihuahua gives away owner after burglary (San Antonio)

Post by Frankie »

The man and his dog fled to a nearby Taco Cabana and attempted to hide from police in the bushes. The Chihuahua stood by his side, but started growling at police officers.

The criminal is so ashamed, he would be the laughing stock and punching bag in the iron hotel. Both are now going to jail.

Sounds to me like Divine Providence, God acting through the dog to help this man face the natural consequences of his behavior. :thumbs2:

IANAL so I am curious what charges the dog might face. Section 7.02 perhaps?

What kind of moron takes a Chihuahua with them to a burglary? Unless they are burglarizing a Taco Bell?

Maybe that was the problem. The dog wanted Taco Bell.

Political statement here:
I really hate Chihuahuas... They're the only dog breed that has ever demanded to both sit on my lap AND bite me at the same time.

One of my dogs is part chihuahua. Meanest dog I have ever had. Won't miss him when he is gone. Terrorizes the other dogs. I can only say that I am glad they are not as big as a pit bull because they for sure would be outlawed.

My mother raised Chihuahuas pretty much all of my childhood. I found (and find) them to be smart, protective, instinctive, and excellent judges of character (borne out by this thread).

Odd enough, this isn't the first time a Chihuahua has been taken to commit a crime.

This little fella (Chico)
Image

Was recovered and adopted by my mother after his owners abandon him when she, my mother, inquired as to why they were removing bundles of shingles from the house next door at 6am on a Sunday morning. She got a "no hablo ingles" and the men made a hasty departure, without their criminal accomplice. It was later verified by the build manager that they indeed were stealing the bundles of shingles and these men were not part of any of his construction crews.
Chico now been 100% reformed and has not committed any crimes since.
