Texas Tactical IDPA Match Sunday 4/22

Post by O6nop »

Anyone going to this match? Anyone from Austin area willing to carpool? It's been months since I've been to a IDPA match. I'm itching to go.
I believe there is safety in numbers..
numbers like: 9, .22, .38, .357, .45, .223, 5.56, 7.62, 6.5, .30-06...

I made it...and I needed it.

For me, one of the benefits of IDPA is stress relief. Due to weather and other circumstances, I haven't been to a match in way too long and I was feeling the effects of withdrawl. Even my wife said, "You 'really' need to go shoot something". That is when you KNOW it has been too long.

I thought I was going to have someone go with me but they backed out at the last minute.

The match was great, as are all matches staged by Michael 'Iron Mike' Webb. The people at his matches are first rate too. I frequently like to attend the new shooters meeting and today, inspite of the drizzly weather, we had 14 at the new shooters meeting.

Playing in the rain with plastic pistols. A great day.

I could not agree with you more. Those folks put on a great match...I wish that I didn't live so far away! I made one last summer at their old location and learned a great deal. Take care.

Yup, I don't mind dropping plastic mags in the mud, just wipe them off. I had a great time there today too, it's always a good day when you get to send lead downrange.
