Trying my hand at 308 last night

Post by mjoplin »

Had a few extra minutes on my hands last night and thought I'd run a some rifle rounds. .308 Win, 165 gr. Nosler tips, 44.0 gr. Varget, CCI large rifle primers, in once fired Winchester nickel/brass. Will get a chance to try them out in a Remington 700 in a couple of weeks. Thought they came out kinda nice and was something different than running a few hundred 45's on the progressive.

Oh Yea...They are nice..!!
It's nice sometimes to dive into loading rifle rounds on a single stage press.
It's like taking a breath of fresh air.

Yea, I have an older Remington 700 in 30-06 that I really love...It's bone stock but has very nice wood.
It's pretty old, not one of the newer thrown together ones..!!
It's like my 2 Remington 870's, one is pretty old and the other one is newer. ( Not sure of DOM's )
The older one is solid, seems to be a little heavier and the wood is very nice..?
Old guns just seemed to be made better..!! :fire
