What does everyone thing of this? Also, legal for IDPA?

Love mine, but it pokes me a bit with a full sized semiauto. Try the Gurkha, or the Infidel.

The C-Tac is legal for IDPA.

I also prefer the infidel because of poking....seems to be a problem with the minority of people that use a C-tac.

Plenty of folks carry them and love them.....I wear my weapon at around 3 oclock which IMO is not the greatest position for the c-tac. YMMV. Remember that Comp-tac is second to none with customer service...if you dont like the way a holster fits, they will take it back minus shipping inside of thirty days.

I love my CTAC. It's adjustable about 19 different ways, so I can actually make it kinda fit me.

I don't carry a full-size in it, though. It's for my Bersa Thunder.

ok, so anything from that company is good to go. I bought a holster this week (Galco Matrix 7) and hate it. I do nto want to buy another holster without trying it out first. What is the best way to do this?

You'll generally find that the best holsters are also the most popular, which means there are likely quite a few owned by forum members.

At the least, you'll get honest opinions. You might even be close enough to someone to actually try one out.

So trying out anindividuals is the only way? Can't try them out at dealer?

There just isn't a holster made that is good enough to accomodate your greatness, your heiness...

I'm using the C-Tac settable cant belt holster. I like that it has the shirt guard which makes holstering a breeze and draws very fast. Delivery from the time of order was 3 days and the product is excellent.

I was using the CTAC slide for IDPA, but I was having some.. um.... problems.

Get something that covers the muzzle when you reholster. Hot muzzles don't feel very good on skin.

I would offer to let you try on any of my holsters when you are in the area......but I think I saw some glock bashing by your hand in another thread
