New Progressive Press

Post by AlaskanInTexas »

So I have been loading on a singe stage Hornady for about two years now. I love it. Last week the mailman showed up with a new RCBS Pro 2000 auto indexing progressive press. I had no idea what I was missing. I have had piles and piles of brass laying around. I blinked, and they were all loaded up. I am not going to be able to shoot this stuff fast enough to keep up with my lust for loading.

On a side note, it was super hot when it arrived, so I convinced my wife to let me assemble it in the room formerly-known as my office (and currently known as her office/craft room). After I assembled it, I clamped it to the desk formerly-known as my desk so I could "try it out for a few rounds." I tell you what - reloading is about 1000% more enjoyable when you are not worried about dripping sweat in your charged cases. My plan is to spend a few weeks "fine tuning it" and hope that eventually my wife forgets that I have been banished to the garage.

FIRST and foremost, Wives DO NOT FORGET. They just lead you along until the right moment to spring their comments on you.!!
( Mostly Kidding )

Congrats on your new RCBS Pro 2000.

In my last house in Houston, I had a spare bedroom with all the comforts of home.
When I moved out in the woods, I have a 35 x 50 outbuilding. Part of it about 15 x 30 is my workshop. I recently rebuilt it with 8" walls with 1" foam board insulation and fiberglass batting also.
It's like an igloo... ;-)
I just got tired of sweating my ____ off in the summer, and freezing in the short winters.
Now I'm happy...And the Wife is happier too..!

I don't fear guns; I fear voters and politicians that fear guns.
