The HPD officer said two men identifying themselves as police officers tried to break in through the front door of his home.

this is the exact reason why mistakes in intel for high risk warrants can suck badly for both sides.....

not too long ago there was a story where an occupant almost shot at police when they breached the front door serving a high risk warrant at the wrong address. (somewhere along those lines)

luckily this was a police officer who knew protocol and was able to save himself, imagine if this wasn't a police officer and thought well these guys are just cops and ended up dead....

Protocol ? What protocol ? Police on a "no knock" warrant at the wrong address ? How I'm I supposed know they are law enforcement ?
Does this pistol make a strange bulge on my ... ?
