Re: Recall of Anti-gun Lawmakers in California
Sad to say, it will fail in California. Recalls in Colorado worked because A) Colorado had maintained a long gun tradition right up to the disastrous election, and B) the bad guys won by the thinnest of margins.
California is different. There simply aren't enough conservative people to sustain a recall there, and a lot of conservatives in California are only "conservative" when compared to California liberals, but I wouldn't call them rock-ribbed conservatives.

I'm not sure that is completely accurate. It is true that the commies outnumber the rest of them, but that is more a function of geography. The commie bastions of the urban areas, LA, SF, etc vastly outnumber the folks in the cow counties in the eastern parts, up in the mountains who tend to be as "normal" as anyone. For example, SF and LA are "no issue" areas, as the Sheriff of each county has the power to issue CCWs. Mariposa County has been a virtual "shall issue" county, but the population is less than 20,000. LA has more cops than that, police and sheriff combined! The Annoyed Man wrote:Sad to say, it will fail in California. Quite a few are Libertarian leaning, quite conservative in outlook, but it is a small percentage of the population and in some areas completely insignificant when it comes to voting. The districts are arranged to make it that way. Coronado, for example, very conservative, is always put in a district with the barrio across the bay etc so they can't cause any trouble.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.
