Houston party 2 dead, 22 hurt in gunfire at party

Post by texanjoker »

Having worked some gangsta parties that turned into shootings I imagine they had their hands full. What is with people shooting people for no reason :mad5
HOUSTON — Two people were killed and at least 22 others were injured late Saturday night when gunfire rang out at a large house party in a Houston suburb, sending partygoers fleeing in panic, authorities said.

Made Drudge Report. Apparently to celebrate an 18 year old's birthday. Homeowners were not there, but some of the people who lived at the house were. Advertised on Twitter.

"After the shooting, people were making a mad rush to get out of the house, he said. Witnesses told deputies that some people broke second-floor windows and jumped. So many people were trying to get out of garage, they forced it forward and pushed it off its tracks, he said"

Photos in my next post shows garage door was pushed off its tracks by the press of people against it.

Every time I think I know the answer to that question I read something that proves otherwise.

Cypress is a pretty decent Houston suburb. HAR website shows median home appraised value as $270,000 and average size is 3,000 sq ft.

This is not "gangsta-ville".

They are investigating if the adults who lived there served alcohol. Heaven help them if they did.

That doesn't mean that the Twitter-invitees were not from "gangsta-ville".

Contains graphic images of people trying to clean up blood, probably not family friendly.

"Shaniqua Brown says Saturday evening's birthday party "was not rowdy at all," and many people were dancing when they heard the shots."

Seems someone would know who was doing all the shooting.

Fox News just talked about this shooting. They were actually searching people at the door for weapons as they came in? Who searches people for weapons at their own home? They broadcast the part via social media and look where it got them, with 2 dead kids. Very tragic.

The Houston Chronicle link above had good info. This part probably means there was more then one kid with a gun and if they merely reacted to gun fire, i'll bet there are some gangstas in there.
The initial investigation indicates that someone pulled a pistol and fired one celebratory shot into the air, he said.

"Someone else recklessly reacted to the gunfire and shoots into the crowd," said Garcia, adding that about 10 shots were fired.

Some parents might rejoice in their spawn's "popularity" while another parent would take umbrage at the disrespectful trespass and littering. Just sayin'....

Good Lord.

Heaven help the wounded, and may God embrace those who have died. As for the jackholes who did this - they better find God quick, because no one else in Houston will care what happens to them.

Frisking for weapons at a party? At a house where the owners weren't there? Posted on social media? Where does the litany of idiotic choices end?

Was there drugs involved or just underage drinking?

Back when I was about to turn 16, I was having a pretty big bash for it. I drew a flyer & passed it around at school thinking 10% would show up of the 100 I passed out.

I was wrong.

It some how got copied & passed around at several other schools. I had probably 100+ people there. I had a friend's band play. The most dangerous thing was a fight . . . with cake. :P It's "tradition" for my Mom to get some cake on your face on your birthday. This time, my Mom took my step-mom's 2 sheet cake & tried to dump the whole thing on me. Cake was flung with wild abandon. Cream frosting ran rampant in the streets.

Even the cops came. They wanted to smell what we were drinking & we convinced them otherwise when we told them we had AIDS (playing on their naivety, it was the 80s).

The party turned out just fine. Not one injury. Times are different.
