LEO CHL Renewal
Does anyone know where to get a sample copy of the letter that a LE agency signs to send in with my renewal?

To do what? Renewal classes are no longer required, not even for LEOs.tazawoo2006 wrote:Does anyone know where to get a sample copy of the letter that a LE agency signs to send in with my renewal?

Re: LEO CHL Renewal
Either here or Texas gun talk had an example. Dps rejected my first letter. Funny how a Leo has to have a chiefs recommendation, mental, medical, a qualification and disciplinary actions to get a cup when we don't need one and a citizen doesn't. Makes no sense when we can carry anywhere

I cant find one anywhere. LEO's still have to have the letter from the chief administrator.

Last time I renewed, I spent the extra $10 to renew as a Veteran rather than the leo route...

OK, what is the advantage of renewing as a LEO? Note also that they have added additional fee reductions. It seems that active LEO (or retired) is a whole $25.KRM45 wrote:Last time I renewed, I spent the extra $10 to renew as a Veteran rather than the leo route...

Re: LEO CHL Renewal
When I renewed last the Veteran cost was $35, and the Leo cost was $25, but as TJ points out, there were many more hoops to jump through. With the cost now being the same, the only reason to go the leo route is if you no other cost reduction available.sjfcontrol wrote:OK, what is the advantage of renewing as a LEO? Re: LEO CHL Renewal
Easy answer. You simply look at page 24 (or 25) in the law book.
