Just went to the post office to buy a large quantity of stamps for wedding invites and realized they go up another 3 cents after today! Bought several hundred forever stamps.
Get'em while they're cheap

Now you have done it. The hoarders are gonna wipe out all the forever stamps!
Doing the math on it. Maybe not. Right now I am doing all my laundry. I am sitting in my recliner nice and warm, messing around on the Internet while watching TV. I would need to buy at least 10,000 forever stamps to make it worth my time to rush down to the post office.

With the internet, I hardly ever use stamps. By the time I need some I forgot where I put them so I have to buy new ones.

Yep, I have yet to make a mad rush out the door.

Bought a 1000. About 3% discount and that beats what my money market pays. I also get cash back with my cc. They won't go to waste. Technically the po is closed right now. I wonder if Sam's club is selling them at $46 or $49 today?
You are buying a bond from sort of the US government. By selling Forever stamps they are agreeing to provide something in the future. Not sure what that will be in 20 years. Right now it is first class postage. Today they deliver it to my door and put it in my mailbox, in the future they may open it scan it and send the person an email and call that first class. Who knows what it will be down the road, that is the problem with the future and "Forever".
By selling Forever stamps they increase their revenue now since more people will save them or collect them. This will reduce their losses now, but they are almost guaranteeing that they will loose even more money in the future.
At some point congress will say enough or China and Japan will say enough.
Wow! I just wanted to give a heads up reminder to anybody that might want to buy some stamps. Can't mail wedding invitations with a bullet and emailing them is just .....well not done.
May not be much to many here, but being on a fixed income I try to save every penny I can. I can pay for three diabetic medicine prescriptions with the savings on the 300 stamps I purchased today.

Buying them today and using them over the next year is a great way to save money.
