Howdy All
Good Evening Everyone. Just thought I would say hello and introduce myself. Just received my CHL in the mail yesterday after completing the course and mailing it in back in Oct. I am a 36 y/o married father of two girls and live in the Central Texas area. I ride motorcycles and enjoy life one day at a time. Anyway, looking forward to hearing from past experience's, do's and don'ts etc and maybe meet with a few of ya'll one day and go shoot or what have you.
V/R,
Bryan

Welcome aboard. You will find this site, the most helpful resource for CHLer and be warned it is large community and the site is addictive.

Hello sir and welcome to the forum.
You may wish to go to the UCP (User Control Panel) and populate your hometown so that each time you post
your city/town will show up.
Which handgun or handguns do you own, and what will you be carrying?
Whatever you carry will feel huge when you first go out in public, and will feel smaller as time goes on.
Once you get the hang of carrying 1 gun, start carrying 2. A BUG (Backup Gun) is nice to have.
Never point out to a business that their gunbuster signs are not 30.06 compliant.
To have an idea of the 30.06 sites you may wish to patronize, go to http://www.texas3006.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Re: Howdy All
Welcome. This site is filled with people ready to help you. Now for a few questions;
(1) What is your carry weapon of choice?
(2) What motorcycle do you ride?

Re: Howdy All
Thank You. Updated settings and should be G2G.
I currently ride a 2008 Harley Ultra Classic. Previous rides have been 2 GSX-1300R Hayabusa's( 2005, 2009), Harley '03 anniversary Sportser and my first bike 2003 CB750 Honda Nighthawk.
Currently own a Sig P250 in .40, Glock 38 in .45 GAP( actually spent $30 in raffle tickets and won that one), Taurus Public Defender .45LC/410, Taurus 2 inch 357 revolver, and a Kel-Tec P3AT in .380( i know it's the only caliber for that model but i had to keep everything the same :)
The last couple of days I have been carrying the Kel-tec for the simple reason it's the only one I have with a holster. There are a couple places I have been looking at that make the kydex IWB locally and have been saving up to get a couple of those for the Glock and Sig. The first official carry was to Temple with the wife and kids to go to a craft store. I noticed first thing when we left the house was I wasn't worried if we got pulled over. Now, I have carried in the truck and bike( either in the console or locked in the saddle bag) for awhile but just having that piece of plastic that also said Veteran at the top made my "nervousness" dissipate. Thanks all for the replies.
