Texas Rep. Joe Pickett is now a CHL Instructor!

Post by n5wd »

For those that might not read the thread about the March 11-14 New Instructor's Class run by the DPS this week, one of the successful attendees was Texas Representative Joe Pickett, a Democrat from El Paso. He, along with most of the other 146 attendees, received his Instructor's License today at the DPS Training Facility in Florence, TX. (There were still some folks re-shooting their quals when most of us had been dismissed, so I don't know the final count).

Here's Rep Pickett with his new certificate:

(If someone can embed that for me, I'd appreciate it -apparently I'm not doing it correctly)

Is he the guy that let a lot of gun bills die in the committees? Indeed. Move aside, let some pro-2nA Reps take over your committee Chairmanship.

He'll be able to say, I'm progun. I'm even a chl instructor. Open carry isn't necessary nor do we need to make more places available to chl carry.

However, that is why I went to his Legislature website and congratulated him on this accomplishment and stated that after having attended the class and interacted with the other instructors, he would now look more favorably on our proposals.

Be polite, be professional and state your case to him.

I can't help but be skeptical when it comes to Straus and his cronies.

It could make for a good sound bite on a campaign advertisement:

Vote for Texas Representative Joe Pickett, honest, patriotic, family man, likes kids and dogs, certified CHL instructor... :txflag:
