PIN Number?
Where would I find the PIN number required to check the status of my application? I checked my packet that I got from DPS and don't see anything about a PIN.

I have wondered if the pin # for checking status was the same & the other info was the key. Mom has her plastic in hand. Her # was J454. Try it & see. Might be an interesting answer. Anyone else remember yours?

Well that may explain it. They received my app on 4/23/07. I wonder if they'll give me one even though it hasn't been 30 days if I email them?llwatson wrote:It will come, separately, in the mail, usually about 30 days after they receive your application.
You can also get it by email if you request it. But, they won't give it to you over the phone.

You Can Call for PIN
I called DPS and the nice lady gave me my PIN over the phone a week before my packet arrived. Recieved the packet a day after I took the course with PIN in it. Just used a packet my instructor provided. Of course, all the status will say when you get in with your PIN is "Packet mailed to applicant", so it ain't really worth the trouble of a phone call to get it early, but we all like just knownig, huh?
