Got a question ? Cant seem to figure out if you take test with auto can you then carry revolver and vice versa? Thought there were 2 version of liscense son says im crazy maybe!

Yes. Either way. The new laws from Sept 1 changed things.
There is no longer a distinction.
Test with either, carry either
There was a distinction, a SA on your license mention you could carry a revolver or a Semi auto pistol.
Per the TexasCHL site
You may carry any type of legal, concealed handgun you are qualified to use. As of the end of first legislative session of 2013, you may demonstrate handgun proficiency with either a semi-automatic handgun or a revolver. There are no longer Classification restrictions. (SA/NSA)
Qualifications must still be done with a .32 caliber or larger, but there is no caliber restriction for a concealed carry firearm.
