The deaths of Shawn Chestnut-Reddick, 22, and Jonathan Khan, 21, had initially been deemed a “targeted attack” when the men were found on a Danforth Ave. sidewalk on March 19. Khan had been shot seven times, Chestnut-Reddick three times.
But surveillance footage, “excellent” witness testimony, and information gleaned from the Centre for Forensic Sciences ultimately showed the men had drawn their own guns and shot each other.
