Anyone tried one of these "deep concealment shoulder holsters" from Gunner Security or a similar model? I'm debating between something like this and a tuckable IWB, realizing the tuckable would make a much faster presentation.

I personally would NOT (edit) use one but this one appears to be the same and is less expensive.

kdmill_1,
I still use a Kangaroo holster like Mike1951 gave reference to for ultra-deep concealment of a Smith 642. These style holster work well enough for their intended purpose, and you'll be surprised about how large a firearm you can conceal in them. They are a great addition to your box o' holsters.
To be more specific, this holster is great if you:
- don't have a GREAT tuckable holster that really conceals,
- need to dress up a little without a sports coat, but with a tucked in shirt (i.e. going to church)
- can't use an ankle holster for whatever reason (my Wranglers don't get along well with ankle holster)
and...
- wear a shirt that snaps up (or otherwise provides quick access), a Polo style or t-shirt is a no-no because it's extremely slow to draw.

From the pictures, this thing looks like it would wear out quickly. I don't know that I would trust it for my day to day carry.
Why not get just a regulary shoulder holster that points the muzzle down? You could use it with dress shirts and could use it when you want to have an open shirt over a t-shirt.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

I have a Miami Classic shoulder rig for my Taurus T85 & wear it under a snapped shirt. The pictured holster looks like it would work. If you wnat to try it, see if you can borrow a belly band from someone & wear it high for a while. Should be some good education.

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

I just got off the phone with the good folks a Kangaroo Holster.
Very helpful and a no pressure sales attitude. Great return policy. AND THE PRICE IS RIGHT. Looks like I'll be getting one on order today.
Best of all they are located here in TEXAS.

That is also why I have not gotten one. I thought about it, but I sweat like a..., I sweat alot. But I may one day look at getting something like this to try, for winter days.Mike1951 wrote:-And don't sweat like a horse.
That is one of the main reasons I don't use one.
