Welcome to the Forum. It's only been 8 days since you uploaded your CHL-100, but I suspect you'll get it in 2 or 3 weeks. It's amazing how fast DPS is processing applications now.

It's hard to believe that only 4 years ago I was putting together a multi-plaintiff suit against DPS for the extreme delays in processing applications. The CHL crew and leadership we currently enjoy revamped the program and it made all the difference.

I agree. From what I've been seeing, they are doing a much better job now. I think I remember back when the DPS would NOT take phone call inquiries from CHL applicants, but I've seen posts that say they do take calls now.
Life is good.

It's now been only 14 days and DPS has 60 days to process your application. (Tex. Gov't Code 411.176) As for your constitutional argument, read the Heller decision and see what the SCOTUS had to say about licensing systems being constitutional.

Good luck with the email. I had better luck calling until I got hold music and was on hold 30 minutes. I sent an email to them more than a week ago and nothing... :banghead:
