I moved to Texas in Feb. I have been EDC because I have had a Nevada CCW for the past 6 years.

Re: CHL arrived today
BTW, during the entire process I continually checked the DPS website for updates. There is none. Over another thread, it was posted by someone that DPS would post updates or "status change". I have called DPS they state they no longer update the website since May of 2014. Even now, after I have received the CHL, the website still posted "CHL APPLICATION STATUS: If you have a pending CHL application, please allow sufficient time for processing. If you have not already done so, please submit all of the items listed on the checklist you received. DPS will notify you by mail if further information or additional documents are required."

Re: CHL arrived today
But it should now allow you to change your address, which is the status update everyone refers to. The DPS no longer gives step by step detailed explanations of your application status but if you can change your address or report a lost license it's because you've already been approved.
Mine updated yesterday but also still shows the application message.

Yes, there are:Robert91RS wrote:But it should now allow you to change your address, which is the status update everyone refers to. Change residential address
Change mailing address
Change contact information
Report lost license
Report stolen license
Frankly, I never pay attention if these were there before. When people post "Change of Status", I am thinking the change of status of CHL approval process not the stuff listed above. My mistake.
