Prayers for a friend

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Prayers for a friend

Post by The Annoyed Man »

I received this emergency emailed prayer request today:
Randy (a missionary friend of mine) is in Kathmandu on one of his many teaching/ministry trips to the area. As you likely know there was a large earthquake there earlier on Saturday.

Ernie got a text from him this morning stating:
"We had a 7.9 earthquake at noon. Most people are out in the streets, afraid that there homes are unsafe. I am sleeping in the church, uncomfortable, but safe so far. Power is down...pray that it would not rain and make things worse. Pray for Randy, and for Cathy who is worried for him...more as we hear it.
There's already more than 1,000 dead counted so far: http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/A/ ... 5-09-23-21

Please pray for the Nepalese nation, for the families of the lost, for the foreign workers who are already on the ground trying to help.
“Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.”

I've still got a few Nepali friends who haven't been marked safe on Facebook or Google. Prayers for healing through a really bad situation. I love Nepal and have been several times.

I offer my prayers as well.

In addition to your prayers, you can donate to the people of Nepal.

After the last earthquake in Haiti, I bought a Waka Waka solar light.

For each purchase that you make, a light gets donated to the people in need.

You can also donate without purchasing a light or solar charger.

I am not associated with Waka Waka, but have supported their kickstart programs.
