Called for an update on our Texas "stuff"...
Found out mine, the investigation is completed, and that the license is in "processing"...3 weeks to get the "plastic" actually made...Then its a slap it into an envelope and stamp it for the ride home...
I never knew it took that long to actually, physically make the license...
I should be getting it here about the second week in July...
Wife-Units license just got off the ground as far as the investigation goes...The delay was that her information on her initial license was not retained as far as her naturalization status needing confirmation...We sent them a copy (not certified or notorized, they "Austin" said it was not needed)... They got it on the 13th of June...
I'm thining we'll see her Texas CHL second week in August...
We'll see...
Interesting revelation...

I think somebody is mistaken on that 3 weeks thing. I got my photo back to be resigned because the signature was smudged (looks like fingerprint ink, oops my mistake for not checking that). So I sent it back certified mail and the DPS received it on 08/21/07. Today my status shows the license has been issued so it took five days from them receiving it till they went active on it. If the pattern holds I will have the license on 07/02/07. so maybe in five days or less you will see your status change.
