A long time owner of 4 successful McDonald's franchises in Houston was surprised by robbers as he left one of his restaurants with cash. He apparently resisted and exchanged gunfire with the men. He was apparently liked by everyone and was know for giving people a second chance. There is a concern that a former employee was involved who knew his schedule to pick up the cash. They did not get the money, but it cost him his life.
