Facing knee surgery update

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Facing knee surgery update

Post by MoJo »

I got the report from the orthopedic doctor today. My right knee is just about shot. Osteoarthritis, torn cartilage, 3 cysts, and bone bruises that are healing is what they said. I have an appointment Thursday to discuss options and get something set up. I haven't been able to work since the Tuesday after Father's Day and laying around the house in pain with nothing to do is really making the days drag.

If you would, please remember me in your prayers.

Thank you and God bless,

Morris

I had the surgery today. Walked from the car to the house when I got home. There is very little pain. You never know how bad you were feeling until you are feeling better. Go to the Doctor to get the stitches removed next week and talk about physical therapy. Thanks for all the prayers I firmly believe there's no better medicine than the power of prayer.

Prayers sent up for you, MoJo.

Been there; done that. It's amazing how much we take our skeleton and connective stuff for granted until something stops working right...

Prayers sent from here as well.

I can relate. Have had two on right knee (first one did not heal right) and one on left. Not fun. Mobility not as good either (maybe thats just old age).

You'll be in mine. One of my former coworkers had a similar ailment, and was up and walking in less than a week.

I'll be facing a similar surgery within the next 5 years or so (when the pain outweighs the fear of surgery) so keep us posted on how it goes.
