DL status when applying for LTC
Hi guys,I Applied for LTC with (uknown to me) suspended drivers license. Will this cause my app to be rejected? Have tried calling and emailing RSD to see what my next step is, and haven't been able to get through. My license is reinstated now. Any thoughts?

Re: DL status when applying for LTC
Was the original reason for your license suspension a disqualifier for LTC?
If not, then you may simply have your application held up while they ask you to provide proof of a valid license. However, having a drivers license is not a predicate to having an LTC. So it isn't that you didn't have one, it's that you had a suspended license, and the reason(s) behind the suspension may or may not be disqualifiers.

When your license is suspended now, the state allows you to keep it for ID. Unless the offense that got OP's license suspended was disqualifying for a LTC, then there should be no issue.WildBill wrote:While a DL might not be required some other form of valid ID is. Re: DL status when applying for LTC
About a year back I was driving my project car (no insurance) around my neighborhood just to get the fluids going and to recharge the battery a bit. Well, on my way back home, I got pulled over for not having my front blinker lights installed... Got a no insurance ticket, I didn't dispute it and paid the fee. Fast forward to a week ago and I'm shopping for insurance and I can't get insured! Turns out I had a $250 surcharge for my "guilty" plea; I didn't know about it so I didn't pay it. Well, they suspended my license for being delinquent. I paid it a few days ago and now my license is restored.
Anyone know of the best way to get in touch with an actual person at RSD?
