They've said that one person was taken to a hospital. It sounds like a police officer was shouting at someone to stay down and then 5-6 shots can be heard. Hopefully, no one else was hurt.

I guess people think nothing can happen to them so they decide to go towards gun fire with their cellphones. Or stand around and stare.

The scene looks pretty crazy. It looks like it started outside in a car. There are windows that are broken out by either gun fire or rocks or something. There are a few 4-5 pound rocks on and about the car.

EDIT: A man was throwing those rocks I mentioned at a woman in some kind of domestic dispute. Then the police got involved.

Yeah I noticed that, they don't understand that not every fight is over after the first few shots. My video would be hard to see because I would moving quickly in the other direction and it would be from a long way off.

from the article:
The man reportedly charged the officer with a rock in hand. Witnesses told WFAA that the man shouted "shoot me, shoot me" to the officer.

Not the best phrase to use when charging an officer with a potentially deadly weapon.JMHO

Re-screening everybody? The guy used rocks...are they prohibited according to TSA?

Rock violence - need more regulations on rock possession!

But really people - there's shooting in progress and you're strolling down to see it? Good way to have a bad situation get worse by making an officer think someone else is joining the fray.

I think they are rescreening everyone because in the chaos many people went deeper into the airport to get away from the incident that did not go through screening. This was probably allowed by the TSA at the time to help get people further away from the scene, knowing all along that they would rescreen everyone and no one would be allowed to board during the whole thing.

I counted 9 shots .. Glad that no one else nearby was hit. That's a lot of rounds for close up shooting against a guy armed with a rock.
Wonder what the criticism would be if the shooter was a CHL holder?

Some folks hung around for video, some crashed through TSA in fear for the lives. Since TSA checkpoint was compromised, everybody out and start over.
