Shotgun matches

Do IDPA style shotgun matches exist? If so does anyone know of where they might go on?

Cowboy action shooting has a shotgun phase.

Other than that, if you have a place to do it, you can shoot IDPA-style stages with a shotgun or carbine. The cops do it at the club I belong to. It's a bit harder on the targets than a pistol.

The IDPA club I used to belong to does shotgun as part of three gun matches. A little off the page from IDPA, but fun.

There's a pesky extra period in that link. Here's one that works: http://www.whidpa.com/

If you want to travel a little...this match will probably have some of the top 3 gun shotgun shooters in attendance.

Thanks for the correction to the link.

For those of you interested in tactical style shotgun matches in the Dallas area, the Dallas Pistol Club holds a Tactical Shotgun match on the 2nd Sunday of every month at about 9:30 am except for July and August. Next Shotgun match will be on Sept 9th. Go to http://www.dallaspistolclub.com/ for details.

Am I correct in my assumption that one needs to be a member of the DPC to participate in their matches?

Non-Members are welcome to come and participate in our monthly matches. Our normal match fee is $10. Non-members are required to pay an additional $5 daily membership fee which allows them to shoot the matches, they just can't go off and shoot by themselves.
