Germany: man at airport beats up two police officers due to delayed flight

It appears a woman in a hijab (presumably his wife) gets him to lie down on the ground so he can be arrested.

The man is described by the police as "English".

No one appears to have come to the aid of the two police officers (other than the woman), most appear to be videoing it.

So here is the big question. This is in front of security. Assuming he did not surrender and continued to beat the police officers. Could a Texan in Texas, have opened up his checked luggage. Found and unlocked their gun case. Found their ammunition. Loaded their weapon and shot the BG.

It would seem the better method would have been to assist the police officers by tackling him from behind. However, this may have resulted in you getting your self whipped as well, as the man seems very good at fighting.

I would think that in Texas, he would have only gotten one punch in before he was Tasered or subdued with batons, The police were definitely wearing the wrong shoes to engage in a scuffle on slick floors, he was able to push them and they slid back. Hard to tell but it looks like something caused him to drop to the floor.

I think a cordon post to the knee or a luggage strap around arm and/or neck and then twisted and yanked would have been a better choice than bare tackling. No go on gun, unless he has picked up a post and you believe he is going to literally beat them to death. in the video there was only like 2 split seconds of clear shot, and I doubt those walls behind the ticket counter will do much to stop a bullet, so who is behind said wall (or is it just luggage with concrete barrier)?

He went down in an odd way. But he was definitely getting the better of those two officers. One officer had a baton out at the end. You see him putting it back in its carry ring. He better have known how to wield it or it likely would have been taken away and used against him.

While it grated on me that they were unable to defend themselves better, I was struck by the officer's calmness when he appeared to be checking on the assailant's well being. Here in the US he would have had two knees in the back of his neck and handcuffs around his wrists in mere seconds. Granted, at that point the officers in question probably weren't interested in restarting the butt kicking.

Some are. I can't even say this guy wasn't one of them. Some people lack self-control regardless of their religious beliefs.
