"A headshot is personal,” said Hairston.
Can't argue with that logic.

I feel bad for the parent dealing with their loss, but stupid is supposed to hurt. If you are going to rob someone then your longevity gets shortened.

Not much to say past that. Some people assume that believing people have a right to self defense means there is a lack of empathy. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Now they're saying it should be police killing the criminals? I thought that's what all the protesters were trying to stop?

There's just so much stupidity from the parents it hurts to read it.
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

They said Grace Jr had fallen on hard times and resorted to crime to provide for his own child.
There are many ways to provide for your child other than committing a robbery.
One example might be: GETTING A JOB! :banghead:
The laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.

Impeccable logic. And she gets to vote on Tuesday too. :banghead:

It was painful just reading that. I feel injured by her words. I'll be in my safe space if you need me.

With a mother like that, it's not surprising the son turned out as he did.

To paraphrase the mother, she essentially stated if the police aren't there when a robbery is being committed, the robber should have carte blanche to pull off a job, I mean do his "job" (as an armed robber), uh-huh...the gall of the Pizza Hut employee...

Hard to know from the limited details in the story, but it could be a tragedy - forced on an innocent citizen by a robber.

And on Freedom Drive.

Man, I can understand that! Her attitude and comments don't elicit much sympathy. As a Christian I feel obligated to give it and the senseless loss of a human life is always a tragedy. I use the term senseless, because I have a feeling that based on their comments the parents never taught this boy respect, responsibility, values or principles and the end result is what we see in so many cases like this. Sad.

:iagree:

It also seems obvious they never taught him any sense, common or otherwise. Of course, it's very difficult to teach a child something you yourself know nothing about.
