Each received an “Christmas card” a disturbing message of violence.

What the?? Thanks for sharing. These folks need to be held responsible for that kind of harassment. It proves they are more disgusting than the cards they sent. WOW. They have no conscience and no soul.

Looks like this may have originated out of Australia and then the cards mailed from San Antonio. Looks like a coordinated organized effort to intimidate.

Anyone who has seen wounds like this (I have) knows that these were both most likely self-inflicted shotgun wounds during suicide attempts. They have shotguns in Australia. They have suicides too. The NRA has nothing to do with suicide by shotgun in Australia. The terrible thing is that these kinds of massive wounds are often survivable, so the person ends up with a massive permanent disfigurement that was self inflicted.

In any case, it takes a particularly evil kind of person to mail this kind of nastiness to someone.

As dispicable as it may be, this is a first amendment right and it seems silly that people here would upset by anything other than the content.

It is not illegal to send a statment in the mail. They quoted a bible verse and wrote a letter. While unfortunate for the recipients there is nothing to see here other than the spectale of the ignorant and emotional.

I think we've discussed this particular group before. Like a child who can't get their way, they resort to vulgarity and attempts at intimidation.

I think this is the definition of bullying.

If you read the article, you will see where Dana Loesch says her family have received threats and she has an ongoing stalking case.

On January 21st these cretins may discover that the ability to get away with this kind of behavior has changed.

Just think of the gnashing of teeth from the planned parenthood group should some of theirs receive a postcard with an aborted baby pictured.

The 1st Amendment does not give anyone a right to harass and intimidate another person.

In this instance alone (do not look at anything else because we have 0 facts about any other letters) how is it harassment? How is this any different than a LDS or Jehovah's Witness coming to your door to tell you that you are living in sin?

Is it poor taste, sure. Is it vulgar, sure. Is it a threat that they are going to do anything to you or your family? In this instance no.

You may catch some backlash for this, but you are correct. There is no threat of violence in these, only a depiction of what a firearm is capable of doing. What Betsy Riot did here is disgusting, despicable, and hits below the belt. I will also defend their right to be disgusting.

Oh, and the one on the left I know is from an unsuccessful suicide via shotgun. I have seen the exact same picture in the Brady Paramedic textbook with an explanation of the case.

I'm sorry you feel this way, but when people start saying things like "On January 21st these cretins may discover that the ability to get away with this kind of behavior has changed." I feel like that is essentially saying its my way or the highway, or something bad is going to happen to you.

Again, I am in no way supporting these fools. I am just playing devils advocate. They are exercising their 1st amendment right, in turn, we can exercise ours but we cannot intimidate or harass them. I am also speaking SOLELY to this incident, I have not looked at anything else they have done. This letter and the imagery alone are nothing more than poor taste and an attempt to elicit a reaction.
