Are There Gun Forum's That Should Be Avoided?
In addition to this forum, I recently started reading another gun forum and it was so filled with acrimony/bitterness I quit visiting it.
Are there other forums anyone here would recommend or avoid?
Why do I want to read other gun forums?
Because I read almost every thread here and run out of stuff to read.
Thanks!

Re: Are There Gun Forum's That Should Be Avoided?
There is a rather "famous" forum that focuses on ARs that I stopped going to some years ago. Besides the viciousness with which they attack, the attacks are often over rather trivial things like what brand of AR a person bought; don't buy the "wrong" brand or you will be made fun of and belittled. It really is too bad that things are that way there because they do have a lot of good info on topics such as ammunition and ballistics, but wading through the garbage really does stink.

I was on a large AK forum that was the same way with their attacks. There are several AK forums if you're so inclined, so just look around for any that you may like to stay on.

There are two other gun forums I frequent: Rimfire Central and Gateway to Airguns (GTA). Both are friendly, accommodating and well moderated.

Like anything else, where people are involved, there are good and bad. I have visited several other forums, have joined a couple, but then after things became too acrimonious, I left. There were even those, who would denigrate others, if they attempted to offer opinions, without using personal attacks and insults. I haven't visited any other gun forums in a while, for that reason, so I can't recommend any, but a quick look through of the posts, should give you an idea of the overall attitude, and what is considered proper etiquette, there. I stopped going to Glock talk years ago due to the change in personality on that forum. I don't particularly care for arfcom either.

I joined arfcom years ago and abandoned it very quickly. If you aren't building a several thousand dollar clone gun, then you're just a loser or so I'm told. For me it's this forum and occasionally Reddit for information.

Mossberg Owners is a great forum, even if you don't own a Mossberg.

That's the only other forum I still visit. But not very often. Y'all keep me too busy on here.
