A woman went into a Memorial City restroom near the Ice Skating Rink and was attacked by a man who attempted to strangle her with a trash bag from behind. After she collapsed, he viciously attacked her. A woman who discovered her and said she was bleeding from both ears. She later had surgery to repair her broken jaw.
Video shows the man leaving the mall and boarding a METRO bus.

A suspect has been arrested.
Memorial City is on the affluent West side of Houston. It is one of the few remaining in town shopping malls in Houston. It is very well kept and has security everywhere.
