Documentation Question
Sifting through the threads I've noticed that everything that pertains to a criminal history has to be confirmed via a district or county clerk. I submitted a document of a dismissed case from 1989 that came from the District Attorneys office from San Patricio county's 36th district. It is signed by the current DA. I told them that DPS required a certified letter of disposition from the county clerks office and they said they didn't provide such documentation. They also stated that by no means did they provide any documentation of no records found. Does anyone know if the document I submitted will suffice. Thanks in advance for any responses.

You should be good to go with the signed letter. Usually they give you a notorized letter from the county clerk saying that the record was dismissed. At least that's how it's done in San Antonio.

Re: Documentation Question
Welcome to the forum.
As long as the charge was not a permanent disqualifier, then the time since the arrest alone should be the green light. I would think the letter along with the charge being listed should help with the charge not delaying the processing of the application.
