Wally Walk Completed!

Dudes and Dudettes:

I must report that my inaugural Wally Walk was completed uneventfully very early this morning at 0155 hours. I was sitting around late last night cleaning my P226 and USP45 after a Friday afternoon range trip (gotta love those Friday afternoon get-aways to the range, all by yourself just happily blazin' away...), and I decided to go ahead and break-in my CHL properly--next stop, Wal-Mart!

After strappin' on my USP9C in an AKJ Concealco IWB rig (a truly great custom holster and value, by the way) I finally hit the road for Wally World at around 1 am. I legitimately needed to grab a few extra goods and consumables just in case Dean decides to pay us a visit next week so this wasn't a gratuitous stroll!

Bummer, but the food court was closed, so unfortunately, no innocent nachos were injured during this field trip!

It felt awesome to carry legally,

and I can't for all the other recently squared-away folks to try it for themselves!

After practicing around the house for a month, I wasn't even self-conscious about wearing the weapon...it felt very natural to me.

Congratulations on your Wally Walk. If my (now signed) fingerprint card ever rejoins my packet I will be doing my Wally Walk too.

Congratulations! It's a good thing you are legal now. Wally World can be a scary place at 0155hrs.

Congrats badkarma56. I too have been practicing my carry around the house and yard. It gets more comfortable every time. I am trying to think of a unique place to do my walk. Can you think of any unusual locals on the West Loop side?

, I'll have to go back during "rush hour" and re-do my walk...man, you guys are tough!

For what it's worth, I did also carry into Lowe's and Home Depot over the weekend.
