Re: Carrying near a school GFSZA
If you have a Texas CHL, you are ok to go. If you do not have a TX CHL you would be in violation of the GFSZA. If you have a CHL from another State, but NOT a TX CHL, you would be in violation of the GFSZA. This is my opinion. I am not a lawyer. This is not legal advice. This is what I thought the ...

Carrying near a school GFSZA
Hello, We recently bought a house right across the road from a elementary school. I know I'm fine carrying on my own property but my question pertains to the sidewalk next to the road around the school. I regularly run around school on this sidewalk. Can I legally carry while running that close to t...

Re: concealed carry and new job
Just make sure it is not in the employee handbook or on any paperwork you signed or read when you were trained or hired. I would carry to work but our company policy says "weapons" are not allowed to be brought to work which makes it a nono. legally I would probably be ok because there is ...

Re: Do you practice a phrase to yell if you draw on a BG?
I was taught to raise my left hand as if showing to stop and yell "Stop, Don't Move, Your Scaring me!" Everyone knows what the hand gesture means universally so if the perp had headphones or hearing issues there is no claim that you made no cammand to stop. I was told under no circumstance...

Under this statue does that mean that I could legally carry around the grounds of University of Texas at Tyler as long as I do not enter a building? Just a question.

Re: The "Sneaky Pete" Holster
I dont like how hard it would be to draw from. In an intense moment if you needed to draw I can see fumbling, or even worse pulling the trigger in attempt to get it out. No thanks. Carry IWB with a minituck and never worry about it. I carry my shield in a crossbreed minituck at 3-4 o clock on my wai...

Re: I just submitted an address change, can I still carry?
Will it take 8-12 weeks for them to send you a new ID ? No. When I updated my address a couple of years ago it was less than 2 weeks. But that was a couple of years ago... Then people also received their first CHL much faster because the application process was not flooded due to all the Obama bull...
