Re: Strange traffic stop

No no. Please don't misunderstand me. I TOTALLY expected a ticket. I have no dilusions of a CHL getting me out of it. I earned the ticket - fair and square.

I was just making a joke. :biggrinjester:

Re: Strange traffic stop

Hmmm. Maybe I got a ticket because I didn't laugh at his joke then. And I thought that I had a dry sense of humor.

All is well though. He was respectful to me so I have no beef with how he conducted himself.

Re: Strange traffic stop

No. He didn't hassle me or anything about it...just the words. I am just not used to that kind of reaction, I guess. They generally say "ok, whatever" or "thanks for telling me" and shrug it off.

He came up and told me why he pulled me over. Asked for license, etc... I told him I had a chl and the firearm was on the floorboard u...

Interesting...and yes, somewhat scary to know that just anyone can have one in their car legally. Are there any rules about informing an officer like we are required to do?

I've had classes where some had no idea how to use or handle a handgun...and passed. My fear is that the way Texas is passing CHL students is parallel with the way schools are passing students who can't read or write and an innocent person will get killed for it. Just because you pay for a license ...

I guess I am an exception to the rule. My church is help in an elementary school = no carry. Maybe I should change churches. ;-)

While it is, in fact, legal to shoot the fleeing thief and completely justified and deserved, could you live with yourself by taking a life over some "stuff" that is replaceable?
