Oh please! Spare me the uninformed lecture. You conveniently quoted my 1st and 3rd posts, and totally overlooked my 2nd post:thenick_ttu wrote:This was the first response in this thread...Then, you come back two pages later and tell us this story...The Annoyed Man wrote:Why not just pay your tolls. . . . .like everyone else does?jbonner16 wrote:Will outstanding Toll fees disqualify me from getting my CHL? 6 months later, I got a bill from the NTTA, for a car matching the description and license# of that Crown Vic. She never reregistered the car in her name. I still had her contact information, which I gave to NTTA, and I had to sign some kind of affidavit that we had sold the car, to whom, and when, and they lifted the fees/fines from our name. I then phoned her, told her what was up, and suggested that she might want to reregister the car and take care of her bills before they take it away from her.
There is a category of person in this world. . . . .and this transcends skin color/ethnicity. . . . .who just doesn't care about the laws or the effect of their actions. . . .or inactions. . . . upon other people. I don't have much patience for that kind of person.
This forum is normally very respectful and helpful but there is a lot of jumping to conclusions and judgemental people in this thread... very sad.
Make sure you know what you're talking about before you drop a dollop of crap on somebody. The Annoyed Man wrote:Good for you. Keep it up, and good luck with the process.jbonner16 wrote:Tough crowd! FYI I talked to the state and no the tolls will not be an issue as long as no warrant has been issued. As for the all of the negativity, I cannot defend myself being in the wrong. I paid as much as I could afford today, will have the rest taken care of within the month.
Secondly, I didn't judge him in my first post, I asked him a simple question. It was a purely practical question. It goes like this: "Why not do A, so you don't have to worry about B?" There's no judgement in that . . . . . . unless perhaps you've got a guilty conscience. If the OP had in fact exactly the same kind of issue I had, he could have said so, and I've have said, "I understand. I had something like that happen to me."
Don't read into my words what simply isn't there.
