You are hitting on something I've been thinking about. It is interesting how people that want to dress and portray themselves as tough bad guys resent it when they are treated as such. All the sudden they become not so tough and cry about being victimized.

Maybe one should reconsider the image one portrays.

Yes, mongoose, whether you want to admit it or not, image matters and we all form opinions based on image.

So form an opinion. It is your right. It is not alright for a LEO to act on opinion. Just the law

" It is not alright for a LEO to act on opinion."

LEO's are going to be influenced by appearance/tough guy manner. It's human nature, not profiling per se.

If one is poorly groomed, has crude tattoos, especially on the side of the neck, or a teardrop from the eye, baggy pants that are dropping off the buttocks, diddy bop walk, sneering manner, profane/ugly language use as opposed to a friendly, clean cut, well groomed, straight forward manner in walking and being well spoken - who do you think would immediately be considered suspicious by LE? Or, your every day law abiding citizen for that matter?

And, of course, we could argue the clean cut guy could be a bank robber and the stereotypical bad boy in appearance could be a choir boy, but what are the odds that's the case...?

You guys like to pick and choose the rights given to us all. Just who "you" think deserves them. Change the constitution then

Okay enough on LEO's. If you can't participate without the attack on LE I will delete your post and we will eventually just lock the topic.

No more warnings.

So, you would have no problem with one of these dudes showing up to your house to take your daughter on a date? You think they should be allowed to obtain a CHL?

The law says they can't have a CHL or carry a gun. That's the law.

Why treat a OMC member different than the guys pictures? Who's being hypocritical?

When has it been established that he belongs to an OMC? And who says your pic is a group engaging in criminal activity?

What makes you think I'm going to answer your questions when you ignore mine? Here's some more for you.

Where does it say they have to be actively involved in criminal activity? The law is the law. It is not what you wish it to it was.

Why do you give a newby poster that gives sketchy details the benefit of the doubt over a police officer and his superiors?
