Obama says gun control to be top issue of final year

Of course, it isn't new news that the organizer-in-chief wants more gun control, but here's another article that highlights his agenda.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/201 ... inal-year/

From the article:
President Obama hopes to make gun control the top issue of his final year in office, saying Americans aren’t more violent than other people but they “have more deadly weapons to act out their rage.”
...
Asked by interviewer Bill Simmons of HBO if gun control will be the “dominant” issue on his agenda next year, Mr. Obama replied, “I hope so.”
...
“There’s no doubt that the longer I’m in this job, the more confident I am about the decisions I’m making and more knowledgeable about the responses I can expect,” he said. “And as a consequence, you end up being looser. There’s not much I have not seen at this point, and I know what to expect, and I can anticipate more than I did before.”
So this is his top issue? Not ISIS, not illegal immigration, not the economy. It's guns.
I say, "Bring it on." Make gun control a major issue during the upcoming presidential election. If he pushes it, it'll have to come to the front of the political conversation for the candidates as well. We all know that it's a loser argument for the liberals, so I'd love to see the white house push this topic onto everyone's stump speech, so we can see their true colors.

Your best option for personal security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.

Just wondering say he does sign some special orders or puts something in place, how easily can it be taken back or dealt with when new president gets put in place? We all know he has nothing to lose and will do anything and everything (probably even things he cant do) to get something done. I'm just wondering how easy or quickly it can be overturned. Although I hate to say it but I feel will be a Dem following him in office. Repubs just argue too much between themselves and cause too much separation between Repubs.

Heard on Fox News a few minutes ago that Trump is against gun control but supports the assault weapons ban.

I've heard that Cruz or one of his people (can't remember which) said that one of the things he'd do on day one is void *all* executive orders. So... pretty easily, if someone with Cruz's apparent feelings towards EOs gets elected.
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

In January 2017, we will have a new president and if I am elected president, the very first thing I intend to do on the first day is rescind every single unconstitutional or illegal executive action from President Obama. - Ted Cruz

Stop and think for a minute. Do you really believe that this POTUS has enough personnel to truly effect any meaningful disarmament program? There would seem to be a lot of Federal agents, but when you are talking door kickers, it's really not that many compared to the number of armed Americans. Also, I do not believe that Federal agencies would make more than a half-hearted attempt to comply with the dictates of a lame-duck President if it involved violence against otherwise law-abiding American citizens on a mass scale. Okay, you say, they'll attack some people, and attempt to cow the rest into submission. Well, most people would simply lay low until this guy is out of office, and it would seriously increase the number of people who vote against the next Democrat candidate. And don't say "he'll use the military". They are undermanned, and very busy...and most of them aren't liberals, either. "Following orders" is one thing, but EFFECTIVELY following orders is something else entirely. Despite what you may think, the young guys and gals in uniform aren't stupid, and most of them really wouldn't want to do that kind of thing, and would find ways to not be very good at it, even if ordered. I think his talk is more about his "legacy" and politics, and pandering to the Democrat Party base, to increase turnout come election time. He wants the Democrat candidate to say "Obama tried to get something done, but there are too many Republicans, so go to the polls and change that".

I think that this idea stems from pre Obama quotes by trump. I'm almost positive he has denounced what he said back then

This Trump has ideas worse than Hitler. Do I have to Register if I am a Muslim? First, how do you figure if someone is a Muslim? By name? You ask if he is a Muslim? What about the 5th? What about the 1st? This is why we have the 2nd.
Trump is looking like an idiot^2.

Trump is not my 1st choice but it sounds like some folks are believing everything the drive-by media is saying. That is one reason we have so many idiots who vote for idiots.

Don't forget educated by idiots. The left has been in our schools for years. Just look at what's going on around our country with the university protests.

Our children are getting indoctrinated from kindergarten clear through collage with people like Obama as the result.
