Apparently this dreadlocked gangster was from Maryland and as previously reported had been in trouble in Carrollton earlier in the week. He had driven to TX from MD and had already committed criminal mischief here on Tuesday.

He advanced on the officer with a rock in hand daring the officer to shoot. But this is NOT Baltimore!

Makes me think I need to increase my amount of EDC ammunition & magazines, again...

Well, when I was a 22 year old police officer in west Texas I had someone throwing rocks at me. I found the rocks rather easy to dodge, and when they went to pick up another I tackled them. I didn't view it as a shooting situation...not sure why.
Sounds to me like tazers are not doing their job.

I heard a report last night that 8 of the 9 shots hit the criminal but that he was in stable condition???

I counted 9 shots .. Glad that no one else nearby was hit.

Not sure this guy is ever REALLY in 'stable' condition.....

This is another one where I'd love to see the toxicology report; would also be interested in where exactly the 8 hits landed.

Um, obligatory Monday Morning Quarterback Let's Analyze Silent Movie Tactics statement: the woman should have walked AWAY as soon as the guy put the cone through the back window...ditto on everyone else vacating the immediate area at that point in time...I also find it interesting that until the cop(s) got his attention, all the damage was to the car. He was within arms reach of the woman at least twice between the time he got out of the car and the time he oriented on the first cop. I'm presuming it was HER car by virtue of her being the driver.
