probably just gonna do some grillin and chillin.Image

BTW , my American flag flies everyday :patriot:

Working until 8:30, going home and sitting around listening to the scanner, I don't like to eat that late because of my GERD.

I took down my flag on November fifth and now only put it up on special days. My neighbors have noticed and commented, and I, unashamedly, told them why.

...in Lake City, CO:

* Annual village book sale (donations) at 0800
* Watch village July 4th Parade at 1000
* Cookout/potluck at 1700 in our RV park
* Watch fireworks at 2100 (+/-) while wearing jackets/sweaters and long britches
* Give thanks for being born an American of southern extraction and for meeting Mrs. Oldgringo a quarter century ago
* Remember Patrick, my youngest son, who would have been 40 today IF he hadn't stepped in front of a car when he was 12

Happy July 4th everyone :patriot:

Same here... we're getting together with my dad & stepmom, & our son, at Dad's house. Pork ribs, burgers, red potato salad, biscuits, snackables, NY style cheesecake & whatever else we think of between now and then.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

Working at the Lackland Law Enforcement Desk when anyone in San Antonio can come on base to enjoy the festivities to include a fireworks display and concert. Again for all interested it is open to the public..... all you need is a valid ID and valid proof of vehicle insurance to drive on base. Oh and by valid ID I do not mean a valid Mexican DL (unless you got papers saying you are allowed to be here).

Its becoming a tradition for me,
I will step out of my yard, half way out to the middle of the street. I will have my Beretta concealed on me and will stand at parade rest for a minute or so.
I will do this simply because I can. No one will likely notice except my wife who may think I've gone temporarily insane.

I call this yearly tribute to the ability to carry on the streets the "Cotton Stand"

The Annoyed Boy, The Annoyed Woman, and I will be attending the Dallas Tea Party at the Southfork Ranch - where we plan to be very annoyed along with many of our fellow citizens. Power to the people, right on!

I bought tickets to the Cool Zone and VIP parking, so we'll have a place to get out of the sun if it gets too brutal.
