I carry 38spl or 9mm and don't worry about stopping power much - If I was concerned, I'd carry the 460 Rowland :-)

I read one account of a perp that was so hopped up on drugs he absorbed multiple 12ga hits and was finally stopped by an officer using his patrol car.....
