Survey says: More Gun Control is NOT the answer

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Survey says: More Gun Control is NOT the answer

Post by OldCannon »

In spite of the political rhetoric, it's nice to see a survey that shows they're getting no traction (other than on the MSM):

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_ ... _shootings" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It's interesting that almost half of NON gun owners say they don't favor stricter gun control.
I don't fear guns; I fear voters and politicians that fear guns.

I find this bit of information to be most refreshing.

Let's hope that our various elected representatives in both the state and federal governments will recognize these poll results to be the voice of the people and stuff their own selfish agendas. If they don't, vote 'em out.

We have to hope but the past two years have shown little evidence that elected officials at either level are listening to the people. Voting them out has proved more difficult that I would have expected.

I'm hoping that it isn't just more gun control that gets cut back. We'll see how much further down the "nanny" state road we go in 2011.
