Confused about fingerprinting in Austin.

Hi all! New guy here trying to figure out if it's still ok to gets prints done at the DPS by highland mall or if I have to use L1 at this time. Dps would be much more convenient. Filing paperwork today! :txflag: Thanks!!

Rolled prints will not be accepted as of March 1st.

They do a digital print at the Denson dps location, which is great, but I'm still a bit confused on if they are an approved location as of now. :confused5

If it's DPS, and they will do them, I don't see any reason they wouldn't be approved.

Because they will only accept prints from L1 as of March 1. Digital prints, even if they come from a law enforcement agency, will not be accepted.

If the OP gets in there and gets his prints submitted before then, he will be OK.

There is that, of course. I almost specified that I don't see any reason they wouldn't be accepted prior to March 1. Thanks for making the distinction.

Just a quick update:
Got my prints done at the L1 in Round Rock today, service was very fast (in and out in fifteen minutes) and the lady was very professional. :thumbs2:
