I didn't try the initial website but looked again at the DPS site. I noticed there is a Moderate Risk offender (35yo, 5yr Probation, 11yo girl) living a block from the elementary school near my house. Something doesn't seem right about that.

seamusTX wrote:Um, I didn't. I figured out a long time ago to use a non-existent address that would be close to my house if it existed.
If this isn't clear, on many blocks you will have, for example, 501, 503, 505, etc., up to 509. In that case just use 511 or 513.

Re: Want to know where the convicted criminals are?
Any chance we can change the original post? I did it without reading down. The first thing I noticed was that it was giving out info that didn't jive without our penal code. That and it had people living in the middle of rice fields. So I wonder what's going to happen since I but in my address.
My posts on this website are worth every cent you paid me for them.

Your street address is not secret (unless you live completely off the grid).
Anyone can walk down the street and "harvest" addresses. Also, many commercial services sell lists of valid residential addresses (which is why we get so much junk mail).

Voter registration lists are generally very inexpensive or free. They don't of course include people who do not register to vote, but I'll bet they include the vast majority of those who read this post...seamusTX wrote:Your street address is not secret (unless you live completely off the grid).

I think it works great. It even shows the island hideout of a person covicted of "using a child in a sexual performance" in the middle of Lake Houston.

With the number of arsonists that site shows, (including two living in the city park, one in a huge pasture and one in the back lot at work) it's a wonder the city has any buildings standing.
