I guess all our warm air had to go somewhere -- after all, it is called global warming! :cheers2:

Cattle had little frosting on their ears and whiskers. But put your hand on their neck or belly and they are toasty warm - all fluffed out and storing heat. Then the sleet started and they looked like they had little styrofoam balls on them. Ours are all (4) show cattle, so they are obnoxiously tame - halter broken. They were a riot jumping and bucking - getting so silly when they walked on the "crunchy mud". This would be more fun if they weren't eating us out of house and home!

Glad school was closed today - 3 creeks and 2 over passes between here and there - not fun in the ice - nice to turn off the alarm and snuggle in under an extra quilt.

ETA - I just noticed this was logged in under MAR - so he doesn't get picked on for "girly comments" - I will claim this post - Divided Attention

I had to change the combo on the gun safe. My wifeand daughter has been cooped up in the house for 4 days so I did not want either of them to have access to a weapon. :biggrinjester:

I am however taking them out for lunch today Maybe bring back some of their sanity. :thewave

It's 57F down here. A nice change. Maybe I'll go to the range tomorrow.

It doesn't seem fair we got that much cold weather without any snow.

Finally the snow has melted off the house. I hope we are done with this blast, my kids were out of school since Tuesday. What I am worried about is Monday I have to go to Hot Springs to deliver some equipment and I think it is supposed to snow in Ark. on Monday.

Just saw this thread, but a few days ago it got down into the negative teens, -43 F (or Celsius interestingly enough) with the wind chill, and its currently.... -2 F here in Colorado.

This weather reminds me of Lubbock....if you don't like it, wait 5 minutes.

The Yankees (or the polyester-plaid pleasure pirates, as I call them) came down and simultaneously opened their RVs doors when they got here. As a result, we got down into the 20's, and part of El Valle got snow!! First time since 2004. Mainly hail, sleet, and rain. Then it cleared up and was in the 70's and BEAUTIFUL (if you like that kind of weather).

Now, all the Yankees simultaneously opened the doors to their RVs to go back home, and the weather dropped back down into the 30's.

Keep that 105. Maybe it's the Gulf breeze making it humid, but that's too hot.

I figure it's got to get that hot to melt the perma-frost on my walkway...
