Cypress Ace Hardware, Houston, TX

Post by cbunt1 »

As usual, I've been over-engineering some projects around the house. I needed some supplies...the kind of stuff your local Home Depot or Lowe's simply doesn't carry.

So I went down to my local Ace Hardware the other day to pick up some O-Rings, some metric screws, an EZ-out, a stick of PVC pipe and an air compressor fitting.

Here is the sign I was presented with on the front door...it's HUGE...takes up about half of the glass on the entry way.

I guess we all know where I'll be doing *MY* hardware shopping in the future... :txflag:

We should pass this along.

Seriously?

I have both a Lowes and Home Depot less than a mile from me, but I'll drive to this Ace Hardware instead.

Post the address. Ace Hardware will appreciate the new business.

Sweet!! :txflag: Makes me proud!! We need more stores like this.

I'll pass this along to our local True Value (the only place in town to get guns...in a town of 75,000), and see if they'll post something like this.

I bought my Bodyguard .380, my Winchester Defender, and a bunch of rounds... at my local Ace Hardware store. They have one of the nicer gun selections in town.

I went to the Ace Hardware in Houston on Bay Area Blvd yesterday to buy some LockTite. I didn't see any kind of gun signs.

I was expecting some kind of gunbuster sign until I blew it up. Way to go Ace Hardware :thumbs2:

Good to see.
The second time I was in a store being robbed was by 5 armed men with shotguns and pistols in a True Value Hardware Store + Lumber Yard in Houston. The group was arrested immediately after they left the store about a half block away, the prior week they had left a Kroger employee in critical condition, and were spotted this time.

"Oh, why would anyone 'need' to carry at a hardware store? I'd only carry when I go places that aren't -safe-" ;-)

Great SIgn!!
I'll check the ACE Hardware close to my neighborhood in the morning to see if they have the same sign. Its not too far from the one the OP referenced.
Louetta @ Grant Rd, Cypress,Texas.
USA1 probably knows the one I speak of.
