First Blood

Post by jmra »

My sons both brought home hamsters last night (second hand pets from neighbors). The wife played with one that was really cute. Then she went to get the other one and it promptly bit her drawing first blood.

When I left the house this morning the wife was suiting up and heading for the safe. I fully expect a war zone when I get home. My money is on my wife, but that little guy is pretty quick.

You know hamsters like to hide in small, dark and tiny places. Sometimes they hide so well they can never be found. :evil2:

I sympathize. My wife bought a hamster to give as a birthday present. It got sick and she just couldn't bear the thought of "tossing it" and buying another.

She thought we could medicate it, so she held the little darling, and I prepared to dose the critter. It bit her and held on for quite a while. It died. :cryin

Hamsters are not real strong swimmers, just in case you didn't know. ;-)

Bring 'em over to my place to visit my rescue pup "Booker" -- he will take care of the problem for you. Then I can apologize for ya!

I had a few hamsters when I was 5ish. One had babies. Down the road one of the babies tried to eat her. She didn't make it. :cryin

Is there any other kind? ;-)

I suppose having a plunger nearby would be a prudent safeguard.

I think we're about to tread into "bleeding heart" territory...soon.

I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.
