9mm Brass
9mm Brass
I have a 5 gallon bucket full of mixed hs 9mm brass. Between 8500-9000 cases. All range pickup. I removed all the mil, wcc and S&B. It all looks real good.
140.00 for it all. That's less than 17.00 per thousand. Includes the bucket and lid.
Local pickup only, except I am traveling to San Antonio for Thanksgiving and I could deliver there.

If I were to start reloading, how do you determine the worth of a spent shell casing?

In this case, an empty is 2¢ or thereabouts. One doesn't reload to safe money. One reloads because.....stroguy wrote:If I were to start reloading, how do you determine the worth of a spent shell casing?
Re: 9mm Brass
Well, I am in Alvin, close enough to pick it up. What did you do with the other brass? I have a Dillon 1050 that handles the military crimp stuff. PM Sent

Re: 9mm Brass
Guess I didn't phrase that very well. When I used the word worth I meant not value but usability for reloading safely. My bad.
Re: 9mm Brass
Visual check. Look for swells in the case body, cracks or splits around the mouth, dents too bad to straighten when you size it.stroguy wrote:If I were to start reloading, how do you determine the worth of a spent shell casing?
Everything that is once fired as this, good to go. THere will not be enough culls in that lot to even think about.
I will assure you this is a great deal. I pick up brass off my CHL range & sell it. No way would I sell for what this is. If I were close enough to pick it up I would already have it then resell it in lots of 1000, 2000, or 2500.
I cant believe it is not already gone.

Re: 9mm Brass
It's sold...
I take all the mil and S&B, wcc, and anything that looks like I wouldn't reload it into my scrap bucket... Sells for 1.80 a pound..

I see you got my PM. if you want to meet up sometime this weekend, let me know. I will be back in town later this afternoon. I understand on the mil/WCC. I don't need it. Call me later this afternoon if you like to setup when to meet.

Capt. Roy, good meeting you today and thanks. Enjoyed the talk. That is a heavy bucket of brass. Looks good too. I weighed it when I got home. 78+ lbs. That is a lot. Charles, you get the next one. thanks again.
