Wow... that takes me back. To a blue Ford Pinto with a manual trasmission and no a/c. But it had an 8 track tape player!speedsix wrote:...my Monday song...what a voice...what a waste.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjFoQxjgbrs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
So broke I never had more than a dollar for gas at a time. The Carpenters and Jim Croce got me through a whole lot of those days. And both of them came to a tragic end.

I remember paying $.35per gallon in that timespeedsix wrote:...gas was 29.9 then...and I got mad and changed stations when they went up to 31.9...oh, for those days...'course I was policing for $500 a month...gross pay...Crossfire wrote:Wow... that takes me back. What ever happened to popular music that really has a tune and lyrics that were easy to understand? Karen Carpenter's throaty style was something else that has never appeared again.
