Man may loose his legs

Post by philip964 »

This happens so often it is getting hard to count how many times I have read about it.

Get way way off the highway or drive on the flat until your way off the highway before you stop your car.

#1- The highway is a dangerous place for LEOs and private citizens alike.

#2- The "loose"/"lose" patrol will be around shortly (and well they should be). :biggrinjester:

Talk about mangled legs... This officer learns a lesson the hard way:

WARNING: If you're squeamish about broken/dangling limbs, don't click.

Holy Mary! Growing up in the 50's and 60's my parents would not drive on a flat. Looking back, it was because of the great depression and WWII. During the depression nobody had money to replace a ruined tire, during WWII you couldn't buy a tire. Nowadays tires are relatively cheap and plentiful. Get well off the road a tire and rim isn't worth you life and limb.

:iagree: I always exit the highway when I get pulled over. Too many people see the flashing lights and stop as soon as they possibly can whether it be in a lane of traffic or on the shoulder. I try to find the closest parking lot and pull in. In my opinion the "click it or ticket" campaign of ads needs to be replaced with a "get out of traffic/off the highway if you need to stop" series of ads.

I've also put a few miles on blown tires/wheel hubs getting OFF the road. A lesson I'm not willing to learn the hard way.

:iagree: I never thought about it that way, but I agree.
